Once there was a beautiful dove
Called love
It was bright and white as it flew towards the sun
The dove has gone on a long journey
That began in a nest in a small tree
But the sun didn’t always shine
The weather wasn’t always fine,
And his goal, was yet to be known
As he flew trough storms and heavy weather, all alone.
On a day the sun was shining bright
And as his wings reflected in the light,
An other dove came by
And her beauty made love shy
The sparkle in her eyes made the sun fade away
And it didn’t take long for him to decide to fly her way.
He followed her day in day out,
And on a day he decided to shout:
Dear lady-dove, how can this be,
You are the most beautiful dove to me.
So the lady-dove turned around
And looked at him, without a sound.
They looked at each other, eye to eye,
And felt something they couldn’t deny.
And so they sticked together, day after day
There was nothing that could stand in their way
But on a day a hungry wolf came by
And decided that love had to die
The lady-dove noticed it, but it was too late
The life in love already started to fade…
All there was left is one little feather
That stood for the feelings they shared together.
Lady-dove was crying
Because love was dying
And the feather, it started flying
And eventually the sound faded, of lady-dove’s crying
It has been a long time since the dove called love flew,
And lady-dove, her time came too…
But after all the time that flew by,
The feather is still flying, high up into the sky
And as it is there, unreachable to all,
It is determined not to fall.
But in a mysterious way that cannot be explained,
The feelings of our doves remained,
Riding on the wind, trough the white feather, going with the flow
Touching hearts, high and low
And when I saw you
It touched mine too
And since the moment that feeling went trough my veins
It remained
And that is how the name
Of that feeling came
They called it like the dove
The dove called love
