Down there by the rose gardens did she and I meet
She passed by me on her snow white feet
She told me to take love easy, as the leaves fall of the trees
I knew she was right but I wasnt convinced, I couldnt yet see
Me being who I was did nothing but disagree
But at that time I never knew how fleeting time could be
In field by the river did the two of us stand
How she Leaned on my shoulder placing there her soft hands
She told me to take life easy, Like the waves of the sea
It was then I knew that she and I were meant to be
But me being who I was could not see
That the words she told me then, would be her last words to me
I was young , foolish and rushing to fall in love
Now I’m full of tears and only left with memories
I can only hope that she and I will once again meet
