Running from one side to the other
My life doesn’t seem worth the bother
And with me running
It gets thinner it gets shorter
No protection when I fall
I leave the ditches, scratch the wall
Not the courage to turn around
Nor the strength to stand up tall
No emotions left to fake
And the steeples that I take
They get higher they get harder
With every decision that I make
Nothing left but the ill ground
The base of life that I now found
A childhood scattered on the floor
A lullaby in whispered sound
And no words can mend the broken
Nor make up for the unspoken
Cries of pain and tears of fear
Of a past that’s just awoken
