I’m like a bird stuck in a cage,
In a cage with an open door,
A situation I can’t take anymore.
If I leave,
You’ll file for divorce
Of all your problems I’m the source.
I can’t count the times you’ve been fighting,
All I know it’s too often,
Every time you do, it’s like I’m struck by lightning.
It’s tearing me up inside,
Why won’t you just stop,
I’m not going to choose anybodies side!
I want one home to return to…
Even though I won’t admit it all the time,
It’s because I love you, both of you
