Carry You Home
As I see you it’s hard to look away
Such a sad face looks quite misplaced
Desperately searching for words
Just to remain unphrased
I can’t do much to be there for you
When you close your eyes, I see right through
Colourful eyes that aren’t meant to be blue
And I’m still lost for words
Nothing comes to mind that might work
So It seems there’s not much I can do
But if you let me, let me carry you
Let me whistle you a rose
It sounds funny, don’t try to oppose
If it makes you feel better, nobody knows
But while watching me try, your face glows
Not sure I’m just polite or trying to be sain
Whether those are tears or those are rain
I would still lift you up to do the same
Life doesn’t always work out as shown
If so, let me carry you home…
