Once more I turn around,
My eyes meet hers,
She’s staring at me again
Finding out how far she can go.
Trying to see how far I can be pushed.
Her eyes turn a deeper shade of blue,
I can feel myself starting to drown.
Cold flames start to rush through my veins.
They’re tearing away at my soul.
Exposing my innermost secrets.
I concentrate on pushing them back,
Shielding myself from those searching fires.
Slowly I can feel them retreating.
I look up to meet her gaze again,
A vain smile passes across her lips.
Suddenly her eyes turn a sparkling gold,
A wave of enormous warmth surges through me
Shivers run down my spine as my defenses are thorn asunder.
Once more she’s to strong for me,
Already I know what’s going to happen next.
It’s happened so many times before.
Her eyes have now turned into a maelstrom of gold,
Flashes of scarlet red arc from her hands,
As they rip through my chest I know I’ve disappointed her,
Once more I failed to pass her test.
