Sad desire
I’ve danced with misery
And we moved real slow.
Her arms around me,
Like she didn’t want to let go.
I’ve slept with sorrow,
And she held me close,
Clinging her nails in my back,
As if she wanted me to stay.
I came across happiness,
In a crowed room,
In her eyes I caught a glimpse,
Of what she denied me.
I’ve talked with desire,
And all she said,
You really want me don’t you?
But why are you so sad?
I guess misery and sorrow,
Got a hold of me,
And happiness and desire,
Refuse to let me be.
