Corrections are in order
Why do we write our emotion in full?
And still be blind to what they mean.
How dark is a sentence when you dare not speak?
Take comfort in your words,
As you lay them out before you.
Think of their meaning, think if they hurt.
Bleak empty sadness may ring form each prose,
But behind it may lay just a glimmer of hope.
So don’t write for sadness, but write for your pain.
Perhaps in the next sentence you’ll find you’ve gained.
Gained a new purpose, a new direction to go.
Follow your footstep, find out where they go.
The past lay behind you and its shadow still looms,
Can the future ahead possibly be filled with such gloom?
You make your own choices, you take your own steps,
So don’t stumble before me, when it is you I correct.
