She walked down the road.
Saw the lost remains,
Of burned houses.
Sadness running through her veins.
She’s back but forgotten.
Never wanted it this way.
She looks but sees darkness.
This is her price to pay.
She tries to feel her heart.
But it no longer beats,
She drags it with her.
And it no longer bleeds.
She drowned herself,
The next day.
Hoping her sorrow would too.
As her body floats away.
The cold water filled her lungs.
She put up a smile.
The only thing she could think of,
‘This is not going to take a while..’
