September nights
One, going great
Two, falling at a steady rate
Three, asked for a break
Four, found out more than I could take
Five, ended it for good
Six, got over him as fast as I could.
I have the evidence to prove you were wrong,
But how can I look at these scars and still stay strong?
That last hit ended it all,
It decided when we would fall.
Guess I kinda bought into the promises and sweet things he said,
Oh well, he was just fu***n' with my head.
Maybe it was a "spring fling" only thing,
But at least I'll be remembered for something.
Under an influence nothing I said could subside,
You tried to change my mind.
Now everything said and done the "blinded from the start"
Theory was true, you broke my heart and I never should've trusted you.
Memories of you run through my veins,
Reminding me of everlasting pain.
I ignored the signs that you crossed the line
Hey, thats alright, I'll be just fine.
