He had always liked her
But never truly knew why
She never talked to him
Her friends had made him cry
He smiled at her in the hall
She just turned her head
She did not care about him
Is what she always said
But he kept his chin up
And he loved her still
Because he knew what was inside
A hole that he could fill
Her friends soon caught word
Of his feelings toward her
They found it hysterical
But his love did not dim
He knew that he was better
Than what they thought he was
But still his heart was her's
For reasons he knew not of
He slowly became more forlorn
slipping deep into a hole
She was still ignoring him
Breaking his delicate soul
But his love did not falter
He always thought of her
But all the rumors about him
Put him closer to the brim
On the final day
Her friends played a trick
Told him that she loved him
Just to watch his tick
Sadly he believed them
And he was overjoyed
Little did he know
That it was all a ploy
He went up to her
To make sure that she knew
That he knew how she felt
And that he loved her too
She did not understand
So all she did was stare
Telling him repeatedly
That she really did not care
He was finally over the edge
He knew it could not be true
I thought they said she loved him
But deep inside he knew
He could not comprehend
How to go on living his life
So he went into the kitchen
Pulled out the sharpest knife
He screamed into the air
This is not how it should be
He screamed all the things
That he wished that she would see
He spoke of his love
He cried of his pain
He whispered of what happened
How it could never be the same
And with his last strength
He scribbled his final note
He explained everything
And this is what he wrote:
Take the shining knife,
And cut open my wrists
Watch the blood flow out
It couldve ended with a kiss
Take the bloody knife
Write words into my skin
Tell me that you hate me
Make the pain begin
Take the knife and hold it up
So that everyone can see
That this is the pain
You were always causing me
He watched the blood pour out
Collapsing on the floor
Little did he know
That she was at the door
She did not get an answer
As she screamed his name
She told him she was sorry
What she said was really lame
She did not want to give up
She wanted him to know
That she really did like him
Just did not let it show
She did not care about her friends
They were not her's anymore
So please, wont you please
Just open the damn door
She walked to the window
Saw him lying there
She pounded on the glass
Crying in despair
She broke through the glass
And knelt down on the floor
Looking at the boy
She had always adored
Desperately calling for help
He was still alive
She tried to bandage wounds
Please God let him survive
She held him so close
As the ambulance drew near
I really do love you
She whispered in his ear.
Please dont give up
I'll try to help you through
We will make it work
You know I love you too.
