I have grown old and must be grateful
However, somewhere is this cross-eyed thought
I know more people in the hereafter
And new acquaintances are scarce
Most family and friends are gone.
Each loss been mourned
Each love remembered
Thanks to the Lord I can remember
Have not grown dim as years progressed
Still have the love off many people
Not a bad place to be when one is eighty.
