Murder In The Alley
The once soft toned eyes,
Now lay dark flat and open wide.
The stare of infinity
Painted like sticky varnish.
What used to be a pretty smile,
Is now a painful grimace
Like stingy ropes
Woven around her lips.
They always said she had
Such delicate lips.
Peachy softness dipped
In orange nectar.
That was when they
Were nothing but warm
And could still be kissed.
The once sweet signs of
Smiles in life,
Her perfect alabaster face
Now shows in clear marks.
Nothing left to scar.
What used to be a pure soul
Before they raped the innocence
Out of her deadly beaten body,
Now remains to be a dream.
Nothing left to destroy.
They always said she was
Such a beautiful, vital woman
And sweet as lilies in spring,
Her heart was found to be.
That was before they found her,
The icy mirrors of her eyes
Covered by the glass of morning dew...
