Crisis
In the midlife of my crisis
there’s someone who realises
that there will be money to make
and suddenly there are taxes at stake.
Working almost all my life
several jobs in which I dive
just to have al nice old day
starting at fifty, if I may.
Then they say: ‘you’ve done very well
and with the old house to sell
surely we would like a part
so let’s make payments start.
Yes, you paid taxes on all the jobs
working your butt off for all the lots
who never work a day in there life
never mind if we realise.
We want you to pay those bills
for those who will have all the thrills
who resist working for the pay
if the black market at home can stay.
You’re the easier one to catch
the others to us are no match
for we can’t get what we can’t see’.
And therefore my whole life they've followed me.
