ISLAND OF TOMMOROW
Did you really think things through?
Did the lines they fed to you?
Seem some how quite familier,
Like from a movie that you knew,
And was the road paved with pain,
As we fough and sought for our own gain?
Did it feel as if, this legs we walk with,
would buckle and break, under the strain?
All the times it's been said,
Again and again,
We hear it, agree and ignore it,
Thus we lock in a cage, tied up with cliches
The wisdom of our age,
But I know and you know,
Yet like a cancer it grows,
And I see what you see,
Wont you let it down to rescue me?
Would we rage, would we roar,
Would we break and shake to the core,
For this Island of Tommorow,
Would we rally to the cause?
So, we silent the inner screams,
With cold synthetic dreams,
Saying "I'll be alright, my prize is in sight,
I'll get there under my own steam"
It's the sacrafice we bear,
To put one foot forward on that golden road,
To nowhere, to nowhere,
And then we play "hey! I'll race you there"
But if it leads to abyss, there's clearly something we've missed,
Something right at our fingertips,
And for all of our pride, in our brilliant minds,
This prisoner's dillema leaves us deaf, dumb and blind,
But I know and you know,
And still like a cancer it grows,
I see what you see,
Come on, let it down, rescue me,
Would we rage, would we roar,
Would we break and shake to the core,
For this Island of Tommorow,
Would we rally to the cause?
