I’ve been young and happy
without sorrows, without pain
running around like every other child
no shame to hide, no truths to strain.
But something happened to my life
no-one cares about what’s left of me
and although everybody’s watching
no-one really wants to see.
So I made a cocoon
to protect myself against my fears
I’ve build my very own special room
where I could cry my silly tears.
And the little girl transformed
into puberty and adolescence
and she wanted to fly away
breaking through her ignorance.
A butterfly with silky wings
full of elegance and vanity
broke out of it’s cocoon
and came to meet it’s destiny.
As waiting for it’s wings to dry
a hungry bird ate the fragile butterfly.
And al you can hear is a little girl’s cry
desperate, and afraid to die.
