hands covering my eyes
Trembling fear…
Saw it, felt it…
Yet couldn't see it coming.
Saw its emptiness
Felt it – I’m slipping, slipping, slipping
away
Failed and I’m falling, fallin’ fallin’
down
Coming in on me, impact inside
Seeing without sight,
Shattered me in a thousand thoughts…
Tried beating the thoughts
Concealing it, fighting it
Fierce and strong…
More like a powerful weakness.
I had a perfect cure, so clean…
Born to fail cuz’ I had no audacity.
I’m slipping, slippin’ slippin’
away
Failed and falling, fallin’ fallin’
down
Coming in on me…
Shattered me in a thousand thoughts…
Left defeated…
On my own masquerade
All revealed…. Cover me, cover me, come on cover me…
Don’t look at me…don’t…yes
look at me
See my fear, my hatred, constipated aggression
Feel me
Feel my pain, my weakness, and my strength
Hear me
Hear my silent crying, my quiet scream
Can you stand it?

Deep… hit rock bottom hard…

I’m searching, reaching, pulling…
hang on….friends say
I’m clinging to it and climbing, climbing,
climbing out…
