Of all the drinks I drank afore
And all the trails I travelled
Ne’er was I lost like this
a puzzle, not easily unravelled
Of alcohol and it’s bitter grip
I have been saved too much
And not one route eluded me
I ne’er was lost as such
The ocean and the fields alike
Where beauty is all around
But ne’er have I seen the things
That in her eyes I found
Of pain and pleasure and things untold
Of realms, yet to uncover
Of ways and magics that just unfold
Of love, without a lover
Lost am I, Ne’er to return
When I peer in her eyes
My soul starts to stretch and burn
It burns and them it cries
What is it that made her like this
what painful thing has happened
Or was it love, eternal bliss
An enigma that always beckons
