Rest in peace my broken heart.
Nervously he strolls to that place
that everybody hates.
With tears on his face,
he slowly opens the heavy gates.
Even his shadow is leaving him behind,
avoiding that place called sacred ground.
The love that made him blind,
was a love much to profound.
He's looking at all the signs
but he can't see them clear.
He's reading between the lines,
'cause in his eyes there's so much fear.
He kneels down at a marble stone,
holding his broken heart in his hands.
From now on he will be forever alone,
cause this is the place where it all ends.
His tears are running down his cheeks,
whilst he lays his heart aside.
Nobody hears the words he speaks,
because today even his voice has died.
On the stone he carves a text and a dove:
"Rest in peace my broken heart.
You were killed by too much love,
and the tragedy of being apart."
