By a suit
wearing a tie with tricks
up his sleeves
Who convinces you
of the opposite you're convinced of
Packing lies in lies mixed
with blended in uneven halftruths
Blindfolds that wrap
around you
and wipe away all
the things you were certain of
Mind goes numb
Feeling dumb
all alone against
sweeps of attack
Hordes of screaming enemies
rushing down
to get to you, while at your back
The Sun flickers
their armour shines like gold
You feel afraid as they unfold
their destructive devices
but you don't run away
just try to pray
Your words reach up above the Sun
to a Fathers mighty hand
protecting His beloved Son
The blindfolds tears away
you'll have no more fear this day
The light is changed
the spellbound loosed
and even though
your foes do still
come rushing in
like they are meant to do
you are safe
For the light in their armour
is the reflection of the angels behind you
