Marionette
A shiver finds its way up my back
as the blanket of night falls over me
Dark birds come and circle above my head
pulling on me like I’m a puppet on a string
Can’t find a way out
Don’t see the light
I’m in a tunnel without an end
I lost the fight
I try to forget my feelings
feelings which keep hurting me time after time
But they keep coming and they keep circling
they won’t shut their eyes
Can’t find a way out

Like a marionette without her own will
