Why can't I
Why can’t I break your silence,
Why can’t I dry those tears.
Your eyes troubled like an island,
Which the sea might drown, it fears.
Why can’t my love be stronger,
Stronger than your pain,
Why can’t I mend your heartache,
Why can my heart not shatter,
The monster that haunts your dreams.
I wish I could take your place,
And fight for your freedom,
But I’m limited by this mortal coil.
And your sorrow makes me angry,
Makes my very blood boil.
How could some one hurt you,
The purest of hearts I ever met,
Why did someone defeat you,
At a game you will never be good at,
You’re too gentle and too kind,
Too afraid you’ll be left behind,
But I promise you this my love,
You’ll never suffer the loss,
Because I will always be here.
Right here where you need me,
With my heart to accompany your soul.
My soul to guide your heart,
Into stories yet untold.
I declare love to your being,
And with that I give myself,
To you my love I give you,
For I’m not my former self.
I am now a man with pride,
With all the pieces brought,
To form this strong unity,
With the one that I have sought.
So love me dear, and know this,
That I love you true,
