Under a silent universe
This is where I hitch a ride
left standing in the dust of someone else's words
summermornings eveningtide
so much music it hurts
barefoot I'll walk the pavement
with my heart in a wayworn guitarcase
fell into enslavement
to the embrace of beauty's grace
give me a melody to live by
a tune to walk my way on
give me a soundtrack from out of the sky
a song to which my words are not withdrawn
under the silent universe
every step resounds just itself
mute my mind's mutiny
under a silent universe
can't you hear me sing?
