~~War, such a little word~~

It's strange that war, a little word
Can cause so much distress
But when the war cry, loud is heard
Our world becomes a mess

Someone has caused us grievous slight
They must be made to pay
We'll show them in our righteous fight
For we will win the day

We know that god is on our side
They think he is on theirs
There'll be no place where they can hide
It?s death to all their heirs

As friends kill friends, they've known for years
War gives a little laugh
There's many an eye that fills with tears
You can't fight war by half

There's rape and pillage in all wars
Humanity is gone
What ever they do, we'll do more
Surrender, never, none

If neutrals caught up, they are killed
Well that just has to be
We fight an honest war that's willed
That surely they can see

Our angered eyes are hazed with red
The enemy is scum
We'll have our will and they'll be dead
Our victory will come

As more are killed the war will grow
A fire through all the land
Soon all will suffer, high or low
That's just what war had planned

With what has happened can we hope
That any peace be bought
We teeter on the slippery slope
No compromise is sought

But in the end, no one can win
The damage has been done
For war has bought sides to sin
The winner can be none
