On paper of affection
To hold you in my dreams
Leading you through the lonely night
To kiss away your tears
You’ve spilled on your pillow
To give you a hug when you’re in need
My tender shoulder to cry on
In the silence of the night
I whisper you name
Carefully and beloved
When I reach out for your love
I can feel your heartbeat
Just before I fall to sleep
And I know deep in my heart
You’re here with me
So speak out my name
When you want to reach out for me

Although we’re miles apart
