With a sigh, I succumb to deep silence
let my feelings afloat, through my ocean of thunders
then let go of my conscious, and yield to the dark
oh so slowly I drift, to the land of pure wonders.
It is warm, and you’re laughing,
and we’re making our way
through cotton-rain showers
and puddles of stars
and I’m holding your hand, embracing your laughter
you’re wiping my tears, caressing my scars.
It’s so easy- how we can live our own hopes
and touch our dreams, taste life as if
it’s a dish that we share;
and wherever we look
there’s sunshine and pleasure, rivers and woods
and green everywhere.
And I’m holding your hand, hugging you close,
then I kiss you with passion, “Forever!” (I pray),
my conscious awakes
and with a first morning light,
what’s is left of that dream
is my first smile of the day…
