Once upon a time
A bee came to life
His name was Mee
And he lived in a hive
Years went by
And new ones came
He didn't know why
They were all the same
Nothing happened
Even less occurred
He had a few friends
Fox, Deer and a bird
Named after the third
He blossomed
And started going out
He experienced a lot
On his little whereabouts
Tiny discoveries
Of life and love
Between the whirling leafs
Where he would talk of
Back at home
And he wrote them down
To remember the Rome
He’d found outside of town
He would read it every now and then
To be part of that pretty beauty again
But while turning the pages
He noticed something new
There was a girl’s face
On every picture he drew
Hidden behind a tree
Or a stone
But he didn’t recall
Drawing someone he’d known
He kept asking himself
Who that girl could be
So he decided to go back
And see…
Thus a new journey begun
In the direction he’d flown
For so many times
In the blistering sun
But when he arrived
He couldn’t find a soul
The place looked deprived
No birds, no insects, not even a mole
And he couldn’t help crying
Feeling all tired and alone
There was no-one left
In that beautiful place he’d known
So Mee cried and cried
The tears just kept on coming
It took him all night
To sink his sad humming
When he looked up
He would see the moon
It gave him a smile
And at that moment
He heard a warm tune
A tiny whistling sound
Not to far away
Then a song came around
That sounded quite fey
Mee thought he was dreaming
In front of him was the most gorgeous girl
He’d ever seen streaming
In the whole wide world
His heart went berserk
And he had to remember himself to breathe
He couldn’t make his feet work
So he just stood there
Filled with disbelief
He stumbled over his tongue
Trying to say hello
But there were no words
For the moment she sung
When the girl noticed
The shy and stuttering boy
She began to blush
And found herself overwhelmed with joy
The distance between the two
Started to shrink
When she walked up to him
And gave him a wink
He almost collapsed
Under the weight of her eyes
So pretty, so intense
His common sense just did not suffice
The girl came closer
And wiped his face clean
The tears from his peepers
Had stopped falling after what he’d seen
And without realising what he did
He took her hand
And held it close to his heart
So she knew what he meant
Right from the start
Because she had seen him before
Strolling through the woods
He was the one she adored
He had no bads
Only goods
