Guessing and wondering
Guess I never was your queen, although you were my king
Guess you always thought of me as being next best thing
Guess you never saw my face in your sweetest dream
Guess you were afraid that that would get me self-esteem
I wonder how it makes you feel knowing what you’ve done
I wonder when you realised that I am not the one
I wonder why you broke my heart without thinking it through
I wonder what you would have done if it was me who had dumped you
But guessing and wondering will not turn back time
At least I find some comfort in turning pain in rhyme
