silent whispers
winds whisper softly
a lullaby so sweet
it rocks me in it's arms
now I feel so cold and lonely
in this empty night without
a hand to hold or cherish
the moon is shining pale
through the window that I see
there are no stars to watch
the utter darkness scares me
and I feel my longing heart
crying tears because I miss you
A silent scream awakens me
from the sleep that would not be
I try to hide the fear inside
that haunts me through the night
from the days that almost killed me
by the force of life itself
