Skies are dark and grey
All sunlight is gone
The events of years gone by
Just look what they have done

The people that hurt me
What's left to be said
I just cannot help it
From going around in my head

Too much pain
Will it ever be the same?
Will I be able to hold on
Or stop playing this crazy game?

Who's left to trust?
Will I ever be able to love?
Please, I want those answers
Or join those souls way up above

-2001-
Many changes came
And I have found a way
End of October now
Knowing I am here to stay

There's someone special I have to thank
Cause life is short, so miss no chance
To re-find those long lost feelings
Of trust, love, friendship and romance

And by the end of this year
Sure, I might have to thank more
Cause well, 2001 so far
Wasn't much of a bore

Got to know a lot of people
A number of them now mean a lot to me
And for those people in particular
I want this for them to see

That I have come far in one single year
Beaten most of the demonic dragons inside
Got over a lot of fear
And I no longer need to hide

Now there are always things left to sort out
So sometimes I will still be down
But I do realize the progress
Even when I feel sad and frown

I value every one of you
And even though it's still my past
You people helped me along fighting it
And now I'll keep on hoping for the best

I love you all...
