Melancholy
Melancholy.
Am I boring you
Is sympathy all I will ever get from you
Melancholy is a treacherous friend
For all it's clever thoughts
I does not own wisdom
They say beauty lies within
And that I'm pretty ugly
Your eyes fascinate me
Though they hide from me
Who you really are
If the strongest wins
Will the weak accept it
As if it were justice
Or will they stab a knife in his back
And feast on his body
Enigmatic as you are lovely
You will haunt me
I'm a melancholic idiot
But I'm not stupid
Though the cows might make me look like it
Every bird in the rocking reeds
Mocking at my ignorance
As if I knew but did not see
What you wanted
Was not me
