Still brave

I've felt peace
I've felt pain
I've felt a curse resting on your name

I've seen you laugh
I've seen you cry
I've seen you struggle
with a meaningless lie

I was there for the beginning
as you wrote the end
While the curve came nearer,
where our lives would bend

I've seen you proud
I've seen you down
I've seen you lose lives royal crown

I've witnessed your life
while you wished for death
I've seen you take
your final breath

I've seen your crib
I've seen your grave
And I still think
that you were brave
