Sitting on my usual bus forty
Crowded as usual by noisy kids
Torhout Ieper a one hour ride
Wishing you were by my side
Girls blabbering all time long
Can’t hear ‘em headphones on
Music blasting through my ear
Still wishing you were here
Looking at the landscapes
Blindly staring at nothing at all
Tapping my fingers on the seat
To the sound of some silly beat
I fall in my usual thinking again
Always the same freaking thing
It makes me happy drives me mad
Makes me laugh and then turn sad
O God who gave man emotions
What a cruel toy that is to me
For hope can give a man wings
But also make him despair in things
Sarcasm thy name is love
For it is certainly my demise
For what you’re playing on me
Is nothing more than cruelty
People get off, some get on
The chatter soon fades away
My ride going further as I think
To what depths my mind will sink
With your smile, you’re humour
You’re sensibility, your being
Girl you have enchanted me
But I guess you’re not mine to be
And once again I drift away
I go to heaven with you once more
Enjoying the feeling before reality hits
And sends me back to the devil’s pits.
