While they are rising, stars flickering bright
My great-grandchildren born and more on the way
I am descending, will be extinguished in time
How grateful I am for the time I have been given
Living to know of the third generation
May the lights of the Christmas tree reflect in their eyes
May they sing silent night on the day of good will
May you all sing with joy and remember my song
Not always in tune but sung from the heart
Joy to the world especially joy to my children
Grant, great and they who have married my brood
May the spirit of Christmas touch all of you.
My thoughts shall be with you as they always are
I have my memories and I’m happy too.
