Sleep is the enemy
I fight every night
I want it to conquer me
But it won’t
Sleep is the obsession
My confessions swindle
Back and forth in my head
They won’t leave me alone
Sleep is my problem
It doesn’t appear enough
It stays hidden in the day
Never to show when needed the most
The tick tock of the clock
Shocks me, to see that I have to get up
The days are a haze flying by like a race
The maze in my head makes the pace to fast
To catch up, or make the tick tock of the clock
Stop.
