A year ago you broke my heart
Told me she was going to be your new start
A year ago your words brought me to a low
I asked to stay friends, but you replied 'No!'
A year ago I was very confused
Instead of loved, I felt so used
A year ago alone I suffered the pain
Everyday my eyes felt the watery strain

A year later your promising me forever again
But 'A year ago' still haunts my head
A year later the pain is dull, but not gone
Though I forgave and you admit you were wrong
A year later I am your new start
But still a crack remains in my once broken heart
