The angel on my shoulder
there is an angel sitting on my shoulder,
It'll be there even when I get older.
Sometimes the sun didn't shine for me,
Sometimes rain was all I could see.
But this time I'm going to do it right,
Even when there is nobody in sight,
I'll be okay,
Because I have an angel to protect me,
There is a sun on the horizon,
Everywhere my eyes can see.
It might be as dark as coal,
Or as bright as the blue seas,
But it'll always be there,
It's something you can't see,
And no one can take from me,
It's a flame burning in my heart,
That shows me I'm safe.
It'll be there even when I get older.
