trespassing
My instinct begs me to turn around
stop, that’s far enough, go back
all of my senses on red alert
by all means stay on track
but my heart leads me onward
into unknown territory
and I feel I’m trespassing
a world not meant for me
every step in your direction
means leaving my dreams behind
I don’t think I can give them up
but I’m afraid my heart is blind
and it is leading me forward
with a force unknown to me
but I fear I cannot survive
in a world not meant to be
