Thrust away
A door unlocked, yet unopened
Who's to say we are alone
The moon it's a token
Saying we're just mindless drones
Light stolen by the sun
Doesn't make us shadows
When darkness falls we shine on
To proud to give up
Abandoned by our foolish pride
We close our hearts
We shelter our minds
From all the indifference
They gave us a home and told their rules
We tried to understand the pain
But lived our lives in disdain
We're a shadow, stealing light
One day they'll see how we shine
We'll rise above, find our way
Find the home we want to stay
