I know that you are watching
For me to make mistakes
I know that you are waiting
However long it takes
I know that I will falter
I know that I will fail
I also know that in the end
I’m really not that frail
I’ll simply keep on going
I’ll keep my head up high
And if at first I don’t succeed
Then once again I’ll try
Watch me then, and follow
Laugh at me and swear
Your words will never break me
And neither will your glare
Beat me down, or chain me
Blind me, I’ll still see
No matter what you do to me
I’ll always be free.
