Never mind me
I have thrown myself into the sea
to see if I would drown
I have slammed onto a cobbled street
when I fell from above and down
and all of them had eyes for me
I was more important than the Crown
I lay there with bared feet
crippled all the way down
and they tried to find the key
which no-one has yet found
I wonder where all of this will lead
if I'm buried deep into the ground
will I ever hear a sinner's preach
for that's so profound
and love, is it you who will reach,
in this soil, a hand down?
oh, I have mislead
leading them round and round
but here I am; a freak
and the way back home is always long
when you've thrown yourself into the sea
coming out without any help from someone
the question doesn't lay that far beneath
if you just reach your hand some more down
