Swan Song
The wind wailed around me,
while the sirens sung
So convinced I couldn’t take it,
you proved me wrong.
I cried a thousand raindrops,
sobbed, lost hope,
almost died, so scared of myself
while you held my hand.
I was a hungry hurricane,
too weak to damage
anyone but me
and you shone strong through it all.
And now, together,
we watch the sunrise
you gave me hope
I love you so.
