No words to describe
no language to speak
when a splendour so awesome
derives me of speech
My eyes try absorbing
the grandeur below
as I sit on this hilltop
bewildered with awe
Unfolded beneath me
a landscape of dreams
creations of nature
too true to believe
My ears try absorbing
the silence of sounds
wind rustling palm leaves
waves in the seas
Waters so turquoise
all shades of blue
patches of corals
breathtaking lagoons
Ripples flow quietly
from oceans afar
peacefully reaching
soft sandy shores
Ending of waters
beginning of land
white powdery sand grains
hugging the bay
Nurturing palm trees
all shades of green
leaves gently swaying
playing wind's games
Protected by limestone
rocks tower behind
remnants of past times
solidly proud
Untouched by mere humans
their powers too strong
retain their claimed spaces
here they belong
Climbing each other
to reach final heights
where blankets of green
reach up to the skies
Supporting the cloud deck
and heavens above
endless layers
of blue turning white
Sun rays illuminate
textures and shapes
all elements blending
in the warmest embrace
Sloping down smoothly
past rocks, plants and trees
to return to the warm sands
then swallowed by seas
Boats bobbing gently
soundless from here
mere dots in this landscape
to see but not hear
Creations of mankind
how fragile and small
wings spread by an eagle
just covered them all
Creations of nature
untouchably strong
endless survivors
when we'll be long gone
So tiny I feel now
so mortal and small
yet greater than ever
being part of this all
Speechless with awe
grateful, inspired
elated, bewildered
words don't suffice
To describe what surrounds me
emotions inside
a world on display here
earth, water, skies
And high on this hilltop,
speechless
sit I
