Shattered
When I have cried all my tears away,
and my heart heals with ease,
then snow will fall on days in May,
in adoration of you and me.
And it will fall, though in dreams;
my past, my end, it's all foreseen.
A poison breed.
I can taste you by candlelight,
see your footsteps in the streets,
feel you in the tears I weep.
They will come for me.
A worn picture sprung to life,
like a damned angel longing for night.
I have wept 'till sunrise;
when will you trust?
Know that I shall not fear my death.
The pale moonlight;
a poetic version of how love declines.
Of darkness and distrust inside.
Kisses and hugs; desires.
Beneath the stars my heart shatters;
like a breaking glass of wine.
And red is the blood that weeps,
when the pieces are too small to find.
They will come for me.
My shattered heart is yours.
