Paris
So here I am, finally back from writer’s block
it was about time I guess, looking at the clock
These feelings for you pulled me in like your eyes when our gaze
is in a lock
Finding you right here can really be called luck
or faith, or destiny, whatever floats your duck
And even if something suddenly struck
me blind
your beauty I’d still see
How could two people be so the same
and yet ignore the whole love-playing game?
Well, I guess I just answered my own question,
So yeah, let me just make a suggestion
Let’s go to Paris together, see the Louvre,
kiss the Eiffel Tower, skip the scenic route
Make our own adventure, look for treasure and loot,
you’ll tell me I’m funny, I’ll say you’re really cute
Go to dinner together, have a drink or two
watch the sunset while holding hands, just me and you
And if you’d let me, I promise you it’s true,
I’d even tell you I’m really falling for you
Let’s stop putting up our lighters to a different song,
please tell me you’ll be mine
Let’s burn the candle at both ends and show each other
how bright our love can shine
I’ll tell you what I love
you just give us a chance
and you’ll feel it too
