I awoke, I felt a ray of sunshine touching me through the curtains of my room

It was warm and nostalgic feeling...

Yet at the same time I couldn't help but wonder, what time of day it was

I looked up at the clock on my wall and watched the last minute of day become night
In that instance I thought of how fleeting time truly is

I arose from my bed and left my room, I looked behind me and saw the bed where I had just slept in, It seemed so unfamiliar

The light which shone through suited my mood accordingly

I then found myself thinking back on my life

My thoughts strayed even further to the days of my youth
I could only imagine how life was then

Much easier, simpler without a worry or a doubt

In a single moment I longed for those days

And then my thoughts returned I walked back into my room

I then stood still

Watching, observing...

No words came to mind, not a single thought

All I heard was my heartbeat, the air which filled my lungs

Nothing really seemed to matter anymore
