Promises
He clenches his teeth and tightens his fist
Feeling the twitches of his heart, and his mind going to waste
The promises made, he cannot undo
Because to them he must stay true
A sworn oath that will last
He may never again gaze into the past
He is uneasy and restless
Yet his eyes look calm and seem filled with only sadness
There is no way back, he cannot escape this madness
His body, it crumble's it breaks
But he can only wait
To let minutes pass, let the days go by
He must surrender his life to the promises made
And welcome the trials that he must face
...
This man he shall never love
This he knows and has accepted his fate
