Just another afternoon we were sitting in the park
I guess she was meant to say she dreams of oceans free of sharks
Instead we had this conversation and all men lie she said
Whether it's about their reputation, or how many beers they've had
The sun came through and I believe I sensed some sort of smile
Clouds covered up her face when telling she hadn't seen him for a while
She watches kids together at the playground, she wishes to be one of them
"guys don't have the guts to be honest, and that's the whole story about men"
First there was this man in love, at least that's what he told
Then she met a guy online, who turned out to be unsensitive and bold
Finally she got herself a perfect lover, although I don't know what that means
A few months later he broke up, without telling she wasn't the girl of his dreams
She runs after singers and actors but rejection makes her feel so bad
They come home late with lame excuses, well, all men lie she said
I can't accept that thought as reality, call me stupid or naive
There must be someone true out there, is what I want to believe
