'Come here little birdy' said the bird to the man
'Follow me, down down the road if you can'
He twiddled with his thumbs but there was something odd
He remembered my name as we both walked
The bird turned into a man as we walked by the puddle
Never questioned his motive for asking me to follow
I sniffed on the roses and they turned gray
I remember them being pink in May I say
To the man that twiddled his thumbs away
We ran to beaches made of pearl
And the man turned into a girl, as I recall,
Shall we kiss or shall we not? Asked the girl with a smiling plot
I don’t know as I am confused when did I happen to be in this ruse?
Don’t worry now, come on and give me a kiss, said the girl with a venomous lisp
I looked in terror, did my eyes deceive? this whole time it was made belief?
I ran away as hard as I could, as the girl turned into mud
Blood from the sky began to pour as the sky suddenly turned bleak,
What abyss am I in? This is not what I seek!
I screamed in despair and tripped over a leech,
Sucking on success from a priest..
The days began to darken and darken more?
Suddenly a flash, a sound, a scream to adore
I heard it, stopped and turned around
You shall not leave your own demise the voice spoke
As everything went silent, stopped, and froze, some bloke
Came to me and said I was doing everything wrong
And that I should stop over thinking over a hummingbird’s song
My end was near, I've never feared, death like I did now
Somehow I knew, that my time had come
I closed my eyes, I whispered that I was ready,
My voice was steady confident and pure
Everything turned back to blue and yellow
I felt like my body was mellow and happy
As I fell down into the water made of thick blue syrup
I came to my realization, about finalization of my chapter
I realized I never knew about this sweetened asphyxiation
I sank down at the beaches of pearl
The girl took my hand and transformed one last time quite peculiar
The one thing I noticed was that Death quite some humor…
