The world is wrapped in complacency
Like obedient sheep eager to follow
No one seems to question authority
We are like empty shells, so hollow

We are like puppets on a string
Manipulated to follow the rules
Too numbed down to feel the sting
Too blind to see that we're the fools

Money is the new God to worship and adore
No more room for love and compassion
We are selling out like a common whore
And fall into an endless depression

We trade our freedom for apparent security
For terror seems to rule the Earth
We give up our own sense of privacy
Our selfesteem lowered to whatever it's worth

We are no longer in control of our lives
Diminshed to cattle we serve only the elite
Like worker bees we reside in the hives
Like obedient dogs we grovel at their feet

A modern society solely based on fear
And we call ourselves civilised people?
We don't seem to see that the end is near
We are nothing but willful sheeple

It's time for a world revolution
And break free from the ball and chain
To take the next step into our evolution
And settle no more for abuse and pain

We the people won't heed their decree
Of selfimportance and steady abuse
Otherwise we can never be truly free
And if we aren't free then what is the use?

We seem to be losing our humanity
Lost in a wilderness of shadows
Ever sliding down into insanity
To be left with barren meadows

Now is the time to rise and stand
Break free from this useless conformity
Ignite our flames across the land
And take back our precious liberty
